10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage is Wrong...Brilliant!
10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage Is Wrong
Type:
Common Interest - Dating & Relationships
Description:
1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms, just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Pinnacle is a regional carrier for us
Catrina Coffman, 21, of Harrison Twp., was taken to Miami Valley Hospital after being injured trying to remove luggage caught in a small elevator lift about 7 a.m.
Coffman is a 2005 graduate from Northridge, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the JAGS club.
Her death remains under investigation by Dayton police and federal labor and safety investigators.
According to the Montgomery Coroner's Office, Coffman died as result of asphyxiation due to mechanical chest compression and blunt force injury to the torso.
A 911 call made to authorities at 7:28 a.m. indicated that half of Coffman's body was trapped by the elevator lift.
Whether an emergency-stop switch on the lift was used by Coffman or had malfunctioned was not known Thursday, airport spokeswoman Sharon Sears said.
"Everything about the operation and the equipment will be addressed by OSHA's investigation," Sears said.
The coroner has ruled Coffman's death an accident.
Pinnacle, which operates as Northwest Airlink, provides commuter services at Dayton International for Northwest Airlines.
The luggage-sized elevator lift is owned by the airport and used by Pinnacle in an area leased from Dayton International. It's located under the jetway — the long accordion-like walkway that passengers use to board airplanes.
In recent history, at least two other employees have died at the Dayton airport, Sears said.
A male employee of the Menlo Logistics Center died about 11/2 years ago after boxes of freight fell on him. More than a decade ago, a Trans World Airline employee died from injuries after an airline tire exploded.
Phil Reed, a spokesman for Pinnacle, could recall only one other employee death in the airline's 22-year history. Based in Memphis, Pinnacle Airlines Corp. has two operating subsidiaries — Pinnacle Airlines Inc. and Colgan Air Inc.

The real cost of outsourcing
Now comes this, the National Transportation Safety Board is preparing to release a report that places blame on a ground crew in Syracuse that didn't report a FOOT LONG GASH in a plane that IT HAD PUT THERE when someone DROVE A TRUCK INTO THE PLANE during boarding. The plane took off and just minutes later ripped open and depressurized resulting in it making an emergency landing in Buffalo.
During nwa's bankrupcty proceedings, the company replaced Northwest employees at 60 stations across the network, replacing them with outsourced employees. The outsourced employees have no connection to nwa other than they work the flights. They are employees or a separate company and are compensated at much lower rates than previously. This saves nwa loads of money but has always had questionable side effects. We have been hearing stories of numerous problems with the outsourced companies (AirWisconsin, the company involved in this incident, is a very well respected company and this incident is an abberation for them) but now we have had two incidents in the last month that has cost one life and nearly cost 100 more here.
Remember people, cheap doesn't always equate to bargain. There are always reasons why something is cheaper. Something has been cut out someplace.
Below is the article...taken from WEAN 10 website in Syracuse
Flight 1411 was en route from Syracuse to Detroit when just 20 minutes into the flight, decompression occurred. Oxygen masks dropped, and the plane was headed toward an emergency landing in Buffalo. On the ground, an inspection showed a 12-inch gash had opened in the fuselage.
An NTSB preliminary report, due to be released in a few days, is
The episode is virtually identical to an incident two years ago in Seattle. An Air Alaska jet was forced to return for an emergency landing after a decompression episode caused by a 12-inch gash found in the fuselage. A ground crew member had struck the plane with his loading cart but failed to report it because he said the damage did not seem severe.
In the case of that Air Alaska incident, a ground crew member was suspended, while other members had to undergo safety training. At this point, there's no word what, if any, disciplinary action is planned for the ground crew in Syracuse.

Salmon Swimming thru Bay To Breakers
I took this at Bay To Breakers. As Bay to Breakers has become a uniquely San Fran experience, great traditions have evolved. The running of the salmon is just one of them. The salmon run "upstream" the entire length of the race. Highly amusing!

..and more and more and more pics
Stormtroopers attempting to regain control as the race continues to degenerate.
The Stormtroopers decided that they might not be able to handle this alone so they called in some Ninja's.
Basically the only rule to the race is nothing can be motorized so you get a lot of great small, pushable floats that act as rolling bars. Here is a prime example.
